Grant and Award Opportunities

July 31, 2008 -- The Institute of Museums and Library Services (IMLS) has released the 2009 Grant and Award Opportunities Guide for the federal fiscal year beginning October 1, 2008.  This publication provides an overview of the programs, initiatives, research projects, publications and strategic partnerships.  It also provides useful tips for developing competitive grant applications and staff contacts for each program.  The publication is available for viewing here.  IMLS has recently released a manual on creating programs that reach and engage youth.  Nine to Nineteen:  Youth in Museums and Libraries:  A Practitioner's Guide includes national initiatives to partner with and funding resources.  The publication is free and can be viewed here.
