Despite frigid temperatures, the Cannon Falls Library Foundation warmly welcomed the easel traveling art exhibit to the community on January 2. Richard Hutton, SEMVA artist and easel Project Coordinator, offered opening remarks about the new easel exhibit as it begins touring southeastern Minnesota libraries. The evening also included a musical performance by a classical woodwind trio.
The Cannon Falls Library is the first of 13 locations to host the exhibit that includes 28 unique pieces of art. Each selected artist captured his or her interpretation of the easel theme and depict books, letter or letters, authors, reading, or the library. The exhibit will be in Cannon Falls from January 2 through February 12. For the complete 18-month calendar, check the 2014-2015 traveling schedule.
