Cataloging materials is the process of entering a controlled vocabulary description of a new book, CD, DVD, map, or the item in hand into the SELCO regional catalog. The goal of the cataloging within the SELCO regional database is to constantly improve patron access to the materials held by the SELCO Online Libraries.

Since the inception of the online catalog, SELCO has provided quality assurance of access to the regional database of titles. What does that mean? It means that with training, database quality control, and regional cooperation the records in our database are rich and accurate, making it easy to find what you want.
