ILS Bulletin 2008-5 : Creation of PEMSHS and Transfer of Borrowers and Items
March 25, 2008 05:50 AM | GeneralFull Bulletin: As school districts change, so do their legal names. In a response to the merging of the Elgin-Millville and the Plainview Public School Districts, SELCO staff modified all visible references to Plainview Schools in Horizon and on our Online Catalog. We cannot, however, modify the location code of an existing location. So that the two schools of the Plainview-Elgin-Millville School District follow the same naming convention throughout, we have created a new location named Plainview-Elgin-Millville High School and coded pemshs.
In order to complete the process we are going to move all patrons, items and request locations to code pemshs from plas on March 30. Mike Cabaya and staff’s logins will be modified to be pointing to the new location. This should be a completely seamless move and will not affect the function of Horizon.
In the near future, SELCO staff will be deleting the plas location code. This also will not affect your use of Horizon.
