Replacing RPA with EZProxy
07-02-2007 CO MnLink emailed today that they figured out their issue which was caused by Case sensitivity. RPA has been powered down and awaits deletion.
07-02-2007 DRL Tomcat is installed and functioning. All authentication is now working through Tomcat. The SIP2 responder is installed to the iPAC server and MnLink is working on pointing to it. When we get word from MnLink, we will decommission the RPA server once and for all.
06-18-2007 DRL Craig spent a lot of time on this last week and we are getting closer. We still need to get SIP2 installed on the iPAC server and need to get the Tomcat server set up.
04-23-2007 DRL We have moved this task to the Active Development list for completion.
12/18/2006 DRL This task has been on the back burner. The current solution is working but we have no support. This is not a big concern because we've never really needed support but we do eventually want to complete the switchover
9/5/2006 CO We will need to write a new authentication script for fine tuning.
8/18/2006 CO We will begin moving all of the resources to EZProxy after fine-tuning some of the SELCO-written code.
8/3/2006 CO We've downloaded and configured ezproxy to hopefully replace our RPA server. We spent 2 days programming the authentication mechanism and it appears to be ready to go. It has a microsoft access form in place for updating data. We will beta test the new solution using the newly acquired subscription databases (Lawcheck and Groliers). There will be minor differences in the appearance that will be explained to the users beforehand.
