11-07-2008  MGF  All the new staff lease laptops have been deployed except for two, those are going to Angie Taylor (who is currently on vacation) and Michael Scott which we will work with them next week to get them deployed.  Once that is done this will complete the SELCO Staff PC Lease for this year.

10-31-2008  MGF  This week we were able to deploy the laptops to the Automation Department.  Next week Paul and I will work on deploying the laptops to the Library Services Department.  Once that is completed we will finish hopefully the following week by deploying the remaining systems to Admin Services.

10-28-2008  MGF  We have received the remaining fourteen laptops for the SELCO Staff Lease from Dell.  We have begun creating a master image for the laptops, once that is done we will begin deploying the equipment to the appropriate staff members here at SELCO.  We are planning to work on this as time permits and are hoping to have this completed by the end of the year.

10-23-2008  MGF  We have received the desktop portion of our SELCO Staff Lease from Dell.  Paul and I have imaged them and deployed them to the appropriate staff members.  We are still waiting on the laptop part of our SELCO Staff Lease, once we have those we will create a new master image for the laptops and begin deployment to the appropriate staff members.

10-20-2008  MGF  We have been able to submit the updated contract and are waiting for systems from Dell to arrive.  Once we have the systems we hope to set the up and finish deployments here in the office by the end of the 2008 year.

10-07-2008  MGF  We are currently working with our LEAF Financial to update our contract as we have gotten new and updated quotes from Dell.  Once this is done we will be able to get the new SELCO Staff systems, and even though our deployment schedule has been interrupted, we are still hoping to have all the systems deployed by the end of the 2008 year.

09-22-2008  MGF  We were unable to get our systems in time from Gateway / MPC due to a manufacturing problem.  We have decided to move forward and switch our PC business over to Dell.  I will be working with our new Dell rep to get new quotes for the SELCO Staff PC Lease.  Once we do that we can work with our current financial leasing agent, LEAF Financial, and simply switch the hardware in the lease contract without having to write a new contract.

09-04-2008  MGF  I checked with our sales representative from Gateway / MPC on the progress of the systems yesterday.  I got a response from him this morning stating that there was no update as of yet, but he is keeping an eye on the situation.

08-22-2008  MGF  I have contacted Gateway / MPC for an update on the computers from the staff lease that we submitted on July 14th.  Waiting to hear back from them.

07-14-2008  MGF  The contract has been submitted to Gateway / MPC and they are putting together a purchase order to get the systems ordered.

07-07-2008  MGF  We have gotten approval to move forward with our in house 3 year staff PC lease program.  I have already contacted Gateway / MPC to get quotes for the systems so that we can proceed with re-placing our PCs that are more than one year old.  The systems that are one year old or less will be replaced next fiscal year in a 2 year PC lease.
