Install Spam Filter Reporting Tool in SELCO Office - PC

Team: PC | Complexity: Low | Libraries Affected: SELCO | Point Person: Paul Conrad

02-21-2008  PKC  The plug-in has been installed on all SELCO staff member computers.

02-20-2008  PKC  The plug-in has been installed on 5 of the 6 remaining computers.

02-12-2008  PKC  The Outlook plug-in has been installed on 21 staff computers.  There are 6 SELCO staff laptop users that have been unavailable.  I will install the plug-in on their computers as they become available.

02-11-2008  DRL  Barracuda has created a small applet that allows Microsoft Outlook users to report unfiltered spam directly to the filter with no human intervention.  False positives (marked BULK) can also be reported.  The filter uses these reports to improve its efficacy.  This tool is only available for Outlook.  Users of Outlook Web Application (OWA), Outlook Express, Netscape, etc. must send their spam reports to SPAMWATCH@selco.info.  Paul will install this applet to all PCs with Outlook installed in the SELCO office.  There is a companion project assigned to the Systems and Networking team to install this applet to Outlook on the Citrix MetaFrame farm and make sure all installations are reporting to the spam filter.
