03-21-08  MGF  The systems for Austin and Kasson have been deployed, thus concluding the Winter 2008 PC Purchase.

03-19-2008  MGF  We are finishing setup on Zumbrota's box, Office XP did work ok with Vista, once completed we will send the system to him via delivery per his request.  Winona and Brownsdale have been deployed.  Austin is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon and Kasson will be deployed on Friday, March 21.  That will conclude the Winter 2008 PC Purchase.

03-12-2008  MGF  We have gotten all of the systems setup and imaged.  We are still working on Zumbrota's setup to try and make their Office XP install work with Vista.  Once done James is ok with us sending it to him via delivery.  All other sites are ready to go, Plainview was deployed on Tuesday, March 11th.  Winona is scheduled for Friday, March 14th.  Brownsdale is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18th.  Kasson is scheduled for Friday, March 21.  We are still working to schedule a time to deploy Austin's system.  Once these sites are complete that will conclude the Winter 2008 PC Purchase.

02-20-2008  MGF  We have recieved the staff PCs, but due to an oversight on Gateway's end they have come with Windows XP.  In the interest of time we have asked each library if that was acceptable to them, all but Winona was ok with it, we will still deploy Winona but it will take some time to get the Vista upgrade from Gateway to prep the system.  We have also been waiting on finding decent imaging software that works with Vista systems so that we can complete deployment of the Vista equipment.  We have already deployed several sites with XP such as Lake City, Spring Grove, and have scheduled others such as Plainview and Brownsdale for deployment.

02-04-2008  DRL  We are still waiting for staff PCs.  Paul and Mike are setting up public PCs that will be running Windows XP because of Pharos.  Based on Gateway's information, we should get the staff PCs no later than next week.  Paul is setting up a laptop for Spring Grove PL, who needs their equipment early.  He plans to deploy this device on 02-06, pending confirmation from the library director.

01-28-2008  DRL  Deployment of equipment has begun.  Not everything is here yet.

01-10-2008  DRL  Systems have been ordered.  Delivery expected in late January, provided nothing unexpected happens at Gateway.

11-26-2007  MGF  Mike will contact Gateway to get updated quotes with Windows Vista so that we can send the order form out next week.
