Disaster Plan
09-29-2008 DRL We are continuing to have working meetings. Services and systems are being documented and relationships mapped.
08-18-2008 DRL After many delays, Mick and Donovan are meeting on Monday, 08-25, to get this off the ground.
02-21-2008 DRL We are creating a Disaster Recovery Plan to bring information, policies, and procedures together into one document:
Planning Policy Statement--Identifies objectives for business continuity during different kinds of disasters, resources to be allocated during recovery, and roles of key staff members.
Business Impact Analysis--Identifying processes through which SELCO carries out it's mission. For each process, there is a priority set for recovery which takes into consideration both degree of recovery and speed of recovery.
Process Analysis--For each process identified above, reference information on hardware, software, staff skills, policies and procedures, etc. associated with that process is assembled. Much of this information already exists and must be pulled together into one cohesive whole.
Recovery Procedures--Nuts and bolts-style information on how to recover processes depending on the nature of the disaster.
Key staff members from all teams will be involved in various phases of this process, analyzing processes and/or documenting recovery procedures. It is expected that this work will fall most heavily on Systems & Networking.
This task is to be completed no later than 06-30-2008.
