10-16-2008  MGF  The systems have been deployed to all of he libraries.  This concludes the Summer 2008 PC Purchase, moving status to completed.

10-13-2008  MGF  LeRoy Public Library has been deployed.  Cannon Falls is scheduled for deployment tomorrow, October 14th.  This will conclude the Summer 2008 PC Purchase.

10-09-2008  MGF  Site visits have been scheduled for deploying PCs to the libraries that ordered from the Summer PC Purchase.  LeRoy Public Library has been scheduled for deployment later today and Cannon Falls has been scheduled for deployment on Tuesday, October 14th.

10-07-2008  MGF  We have received the new systems from Dell for the Summer 2008 PC Purchase and they have been setup and configured.  We will be contacting the libraries within the next couple of days and hope to have them deployed by the end of the week.

09-22-2008  MGF  We are unable to get our systems from Gateway / MPC at this time due to a manufacturing problem.  We looked at quotes from other vendors and decided to go with Dell.  We have already gotten new quotes that came in cheaper than Gateway / MPC.  We have already talked to the libraries waiting on computers from this purchase and they were ok with the change.  The orders for Gateway / MPC have been cancelled and the new orders for Dell have already been submitted.  Once we have the new systems from Dell we will get them setup as soon as possible and deployed as soon as possible.

09-04-2008  MGF  I checked with our sales representative from Gateway / MPC on the progress of the systems yesterday.  I got a response from him this morning stating that there was no update as of yet, but he is keeping an eye on the situation.

08-22-2008  MGF  I checked with Gateway / MPC and due to a problem with their warehouse, they systems have not been shipped.  They were not sure of an actual ship date, but once they arrive we will make them a priority to get them deployed to the libraries that ordered them.  Both libraries have been contacted about this situation and are aware of it.

08-06-2008  MGF  I have contacted Gateway / MPC for an update on the arrival of the systems as they have not yet arrived.  Once they do arrive we will set them up and schedule deployment dates for the libraries, LeRoy and Cannon Falls.

07-21-2008  MGF  We have begun to recieve equipment.  The actual PCs themselves have not yet arrived from Gateway.  Other equipment that has arrived has been deployed.  This includes the PCs for LeRoy and Cannon Falls Public Libraries.

07-03-2008  MGF  The systems have been ordered.  We had one staff PC for LeRoy and one staff PC for Cannon Falls.  Plainview, Houston, and Stewartville ordered Microsoft Office 2003 licenses for their public PCs.  The Parenting Resource Center ordered a receipt printer.  Once the items arrive we will setup times for deployment.

05-14-2008  MGF  We will be getting quotes together at the end of May with the order forms going out to the library in early June.  There was also a request to put in the Star Thermal Receipt printer and the Trendnet WiFi detector and adapter.
