Reading Programs
Reading Programs are a valuable library resource that provide a good reason for adults and children to go to their library! SELCO libraries have the option of participating in reading programs that eliminate the need for an individual library to create their own from scratch.
Camp Read-A-Lot 2009
SELCO will host Camp Read-A-Lot, a fun-filled summer literature experience for teachers, media specialists, and public library staff, on August 13, 2009 at the Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center in Lanesboro, 8:30-4 p.m. Campers are invited to read exciting titles for children grades 2-5 from June-August. Then come to camp in August to share ideas with colleagues and listen to engaging speakers while enjoying a gorgeous summer day.
Summer Library Program 2009 - Multistate Coop
The Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP) is a grassroots consortium of states working together to provide high-quality summer reading program materials for children at the lowest cost possible for their public libraries. SELCO is a member of the consortium, making it possible for libraries to choose the summer reading program that works best for their library. The 2009 CSLP Summer Reading Program theme is "Be Creative @ Your Library".
Hot Reads 2009
