SELCO public libraries may participate by:
Working cooperatively with SELCO to schedule and host a SELCO Special Consultant
Suggesting and possibly providing consulting services
Beginning in the fall 2008, SELCO will provide planning, training, scheduling and information resources for libraries in the areas defined by the new strategic plan. Each topical area will be kicked off with a workshop or a series of workshops to introduce both the topic and a group of pre-screened subject specialists.
The workshop format will generally include an introduction to the topic and an initial opportunity for library directors, staff members, and trustees to brainstorm about a local dream. The consultants will be available to continue the dialogue and provide individualized guidance to libraries for project development. The first workshop will be held on Tuesday, October 28 featuring PR & Marketing.
