K-12 Resources
Communities in the SELCO/SELS region have a variety of libraries available to them.
Varying types of libraries fulfill different needs for information, and through the
multitype regional organization, all work together to serve the entire community.
Most citizens are amazed by the depth of specialized information available to them.
Almost half the members of SELS are K-12 schools -- as of January 2003, 45 public school
districts and 9 privately funded schools belong.
Through SELS, school library media specialists, generalists, and staff network with
their counterparts from other types of libraries. They can attend training and workshops,
share resources, and participate in professional networking. SELS provides consulting services
in topics like facility planning or collection maintenance. Schools also participate in contract
automation and delivery services.
