SELCO and its member libraries offer eBook and eAudiobook access to public library members through OverDrive as a Value-Added Service.  The service is available to patrons with a SELCO Online Public Library issued library card in good standing and supported by value-added automation fees paid by those libraries.

Materials are listed in the SELCO OverDrive Catalog as well as in the SELCO catalog.  Content is generally purchased once a week from commercial publishers.  Libraries may also submit local content to the collection through an additional value-added service.

Direct patron support is provided by participating Online Libraries with SELCO staff as backup.  How-to guides, tutorials, and listing of  compatible devices are provided by OverDrive’s Help Center.  Reports on lending activity are located in the OverDrive Marketplace; contact the SELCO Help Desk if log in information is needed.

OverDrive supplies a number training sessions and some promotional material at the OverDrive Learning Center including a series of Help Videos and Handouts (under the Resources section).

SELCO staff is willing to conduct roadshow visits to answer further questions and help staff grow more familiar with the service.  Roadshows will include some sample devices library staff can use to gain first-hand experience downloading titles if desired.  Contact the SELCO Help Desk to arrange booking.
