SELCO provides a wide range of Horizon reports via tools including WebReporter, a SirsiDynix product, and the Horizon client. We hope that this FAQ will answer any questions about reports but, as always, contact the Help Desk for further assistance if needed.
SELCO provides training on reports in a variety of other classes. For example, the Circulation 2 class includes training on running Circulation reports. Learning how to best use the application in the classroom environment will help you avoid frustration and mistakes when you are in your home library. After you have taken a class or had training provided by your library, Help Desk staff will assist with additional questions.
Horizon data is available for reporting for four years.
Yes! Send a request into the Help Desk. SELCO staff will try to help you find the information you need in the existing report suite. If we cannot accommodation your request with an existing report we will consider adding it to an existing report or creating a new one. Please note that our reports are constrained by the structure of the Horizon database.
Pharos reports were formerly available through WebReporter. This is no longer the case. Pharos reports are now available on the Pharos Reports page.
Yes. WebReporter can also export reports to PDF and email.
Each report is a query run against the Horizon database. Running reports when Horizon is busy, such as immediately after school, can result in longer run times. Some reports, such as Generic Item List (in the Weeding Reports folder), require a lot of processing on the server and may be slow regardless of when it is run.
First of all, wait a few minutes and try again. If you are running the report during a time when libraries tend to be busy, wait until things slow down and try again. If the report still fails to complete, contact the Help Desk for assistance. Please note that bandwidth constraints at the library can also result in reports timing out.
