Minnesota Public Library Annual Report (MPLAR)

Each year, Public Library Directors are required to fill out the Minnesota Public Library Annual Report  (MPLAR) in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 134.13.  The report collects statistics related to funding, library materials, acquisitions, loans, etc.  All data is sent to State Library Services at the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and can be used by policymakers, library administrators, and the general public to plan, develop, and evaluate library services.  All reports must be approved by individual library boards and submitted to State Library Services by April 1 of each year, as scheduled by law.
