06-29-2017, 9:00 AM: We have hit a few bumps on the upgrade road and have decided to roll back to our old firewall while we look at some issues that came up and make some adjustments. As previously posted, SELCO is preparing to implement a new firewall for the central office in Rochester. This device will process all internet traffic into and out of said office. Testing is complete and we are switching over to the new firewall on the evening of Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 9:05 PM. During this time, some services may experience brief outages.
We have conducted in-depth testing through the month of June and are confident that this switch will be seamless for libraries and patrons. Having said that, please contact the SELCO Help Desk if you experience issues with any SELCO service following the switch or have any questions about the new firewall implementation process.
